Youske Eto served in the Peace Corps in Africa for two years after receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Leadership Studies. He also volunteered with the Missionaries of Charity in Calcutta, India. Youske worked with the homeless in New York City before receiving his Master’s degree in Social Work. He has worked as a hospice social worker for over 20 years.
Youske has been a student of Sogyal Rinpoche since 1999, and became a Rigpa instructor in 2003. He completed two seven-month retreats during the Three-year retreat held in Lerab Ling (Rigpa’s centre in southern France).
In 2015, Youske became a faculty member for Authentic Presence (contemplative end of life training), presenting at conferences and co-leading retreats for healthcare professionals on the contemplative approach to end-of-life care.
